Being RIGHT or Being HEALTHY

Sometimes we need to know when to lay down our sword. It may have served us at one time—or over the years perhaps, but there comes a point, when “it” must be laid to rest. Our personal need to be right, even if justified, does more harm than good over the long haul.  The greatest strength in fact, is when we are able to release our ego’s insecurities, secrets, blame, disappointment, loss, fear or suppressed negative emotions and step into the trust and surrender of the Universe’s support, which is Love. It is after-all a lesson we set up for ourselves, ironically. A message from us to us to be healed at last. If it’s a relationship with another, see it as an indicator of the other’s level of consciousness or ours—this divine set-up and a box that can be checked as completed—forgive and move on. It’s time! Why wallow in the fight when you can use your energy, and invest in what you truly desire—rather than that old albatross tethered to your back. How long must you carry this weight? How many lifetimes will you carry this lesson? Can we trust and allow that other soul to have their journey as well? Could we possibly see the gift? Why do we hold another so small? Why is our need to control so great? Can’t we just lay our sword down?

Holding onto anger is like drinking poison, and expecting the other person to die. The energy of anger is a ticking time-bomb. But other things to contemplate would include self-judgment or the noisy inner-critic that others mirror back to me.  Why do these feelings of hostility boil inside me—like that whistling tea kettle on the stove—reminding me—screaming—of these unsettled feelings inside I try so hard to ignore? That damn kettle! Yet, they bubble up—there’s no keeping them away. What beliefs or opinions keep me in a prison of my own design? What eats me up inside? (Negative Feelings need an outlet for expulsion.) Why do I have such an uncompromising attitude? Or why is it that I feel so rigid and cannot bend? Can we rewrite the story? Am I open to something new? Am I open to Love?

When we ignore these emotional sign-posts—the body amps up the game. Now we have compounded the unresolved emotional triggers with a physical issue—and another—and another and another. The cosmic 2×4 just swings harder hoping we get this message from ourselves. One thing is true, you can’t play “Uncle” with the Universe and win. These lessons are here for our growth and expansion—that we actually designed for ourself. We can make it easy or hard. The choice is always up to us.

We must take responsibility for our own healing journey. It cannot be delegated to another. Perhaps, in a greater understanding of divine cosmic Love, peace, joy, harmony, mercy and compassion we must pay attention, to these concepts and turn the page. It is ours and ours alone. It is only us that can dislodge the causes of our trauma. Can we know our true self?

Everything is neutral. It’s the meaning we give it. It’s funny, that there are no problems—only events. “It’s the mind that turns the event into a problem.” Yet, you are the creator in your own micro-universe. You have a choice to be victim or victor. Everything that happens to us is of our creation, desire and need. Isn’t it time we drop the old consciousness—the old worn out story—the tape in our mind, and instead embrace our divine elegance and magnificence? Isn’t that what we came here to do?

We are Earth Angels, here in disguise, to do good. We are here on time with our Soul Partner, Mother Earth, and our mission, that needs a higher consciousness and increased vibration to move this global shift forward. It takes us all to play our part. Are we ready to be healthy? Are we ready for resolution? Are we ready to be free? Are you willing to love yourself?

As the Ancient Tibetan Monk, Dong How Li reminds us, “Truly the heart is your treasure. It is the seat of all your healing powers.” The Warrior Ramtha adds, “The only healer of disease is the creator of it, which is self. Nothing can heal the body unless you first heal the attitude.”

Bring yourself back into harmony, by giving your pure intention—to be healthy—not right!

And so it is.

Vitamin G: A Powerful Way to Start Everyday!

Gratitude-is-the-hearts-memory-a-French-proverb1Gratitude, another key to happiness and well-being. We all know this innately, but sometimes it’s like forgetting to put our napkin in our lap or turning off the light before we exit a room.
Gratitude is more than an intellectual exercise of just giving thanks or uttering the platitude, “I feel blessed today”. Not of course that those things aren’t true, but it is the ability to really feel this emotion.  When we drop into our heart we activate a consciousness and create a new reality ; this is where the magic happens!

I remember saying grace every evening at the dinner table growing up.  It was the prerequisite to beginning the family meal, and looking back, it felt more like sitting at a red light, waiting for the signal to turn green–and permission to GO. This morning, when I look around at all the hardship and  daily struggle, my gratitude extends to many things in my life; I note my beautiful home, my purposeful career, my friends–and family. My boys are good,  my health excellent–and my parents still alive in their 80’s.  And, although I am no longer 30, I have more life lessons under my belt.   I have more experience, wisdom and insight that melds with who I have become today.  I look forward to whatever the future brings.

So, gratitude for me is about really feeling it in my heart. It’s yours to own as well when we are able to get out of our head. The heart, is 5000 times more powerful than our left-brain intellect. The hearts mystery contains the powerful feminine-side of our emotions, feelings and love. It is the seed which is able to move mountains–that tiny seed when nurtured is able to grow through the toughest conditions.  It all begins with intention. Do we show love and have gratitude for our earth, the plants and animals–our forests and oceans and all the abundance contained therein?

I send the challenge out to you too: gratitude for 60 seconds today? And, if you are having a really “bad”day, can you think of just one thing–and then notice how you feel? What about one more? Better huh. On a good day these things are easy– but the power comes when we are challenged. So, what do you have gratitude for, and what does it feel like when we choose from our heart?  After all, recent studies indicate, about 40 percent of our own happiness is entirely within our control.  What if it was even higher than that?  100 percent?  Who knows?

A massage for our soul, certainly our mind, and also the place the seeds to health, and wellness are nurtured and grow.  And, by the way, gratitude and happiness include at wide range of health benefits for us including, less incidence of strokes.  We have better immunity against colds and flu.  We have less pain, lower cortisol levels, less stress and inflammation in our body. Like a beautiful garden, see what shows up in your life when the seeds of gratitude are planted! Better than any supplement. Happy is healthy. Have you had your energetic and transforming Vitamin G today?

gratitude

Do I see ghosts?

I climbed aboard the ecliptic exerciser this morning located on the upstairs level at the gym.  Within minutes, another gentleman took the recently vacated empty machine next to mine.  Each lost in our own thoughts, I peddled on with my familiar routine.  I cast my eyes over to notice and ponder the large bottle of Evian nestled in the grey plastic beverage holder.

How interesting I mused as I stared at the cost of that water. My choice, as a self designated water connoisseur and health advocate, was one that required a bit more technology & health benefits than was available by simple marketing, or implied lifestyle.   Bottled waters including Evian were outdated. Now, hold on, what did you say??

I’m sure you know  first lie parents tell their children. You know,  Santa Claus? When you believe in Santa, no amount of pleading, petitioning, or praying can convince someone ( usually your younger sibling) otherwise.  Until one day, your younger brother or sister’s beliefs begin to change–and they question the whole Santa Claus fable. Are we, as a society, hanging onto false ‘truths’ about the water we consume, mislead by the media, well paid celebrities,  and misleading propaganda much the same as a young child’s belief about the overweight senior in the fire engine red suit?

The clairvoyant is able to see objects beyond the range of natural vision.  Is it so difficult to accept that new technologies can bring benefits to water which truly support our health? Is it believable that we can build a better mousetrap? Is this a vision to which many cannot see? I truly look forward when mainstream is able to “hear” the virtues and see the benefits that I see and not succumb to the likable fear-based quick fix solutions Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson or Merck seem to offer.   Weather our choice involves picking non-GMO organic food,  stress relieving physical activity, creative enriching professions and healthy relationships or drinking the best water, we must assume responsibility and choose new ideas that support our wellness.   We can begin today to make simple choices that make the most sense and are the easiest to incorporate for our rushed and busy lives; and the water we drink is certainly one!

Healthy water suggestions:

*Water should be alkaline in pH (8.5-9.5).  This helps bring our body into balance.
* Water should have a anti-oxidant value, meaning a negative ORP. ( This makes the water anti-aging as it is neutralizing free radicals.)
* Water should be small hexagonal’ structure water clusters to properly hydrate and remove toxins from our cells/body.
* Water should be clean, refreshing & tastes great.
*Avoid plastic bottles. They are shown to leach chemicals into our body and pollute Mother Earth.
*Have an open mind and an open mouth–Drink alkaline, ionized micro clustered water daily.

The wonderful thing is you can make you healthy water.
” To enjoy good health we must understand and comply with the lesson nature teaches us–Balance.  Ionized water plays a significant role in restoring the oxidation-reduction balance. ”  –Dr. Tim McKnight, MD

“A healthy attitude is contagious but don’t wait to catch it from others. Be a carrier.”

A Little About Me

Me, with my boys, David and Joshua

Truly a “kodak” Moment . . . me with my boys Joshua (R) and David (L). 🙂

Ok, let me back up a bit and return to a introduction–of me.  This introduction is not within the pages of a  New York Times best seller, or a favorite hardcover, or even an ebook. It  is a personal glimpse into who I am, what I’m about, what ‘s important to me and why.

It is easy for me to describe a friend, but when asked to describe myself,  I freeze, I don’t know what to say.  What do others want to know? This introduction or profile reminds me of the new kid at school and something that goes way beyond–“what’s your major” and “where do you live?” LOL

What about descriptions like: female, old soul, cancer sun sign, (June 21-July 22)  scholar, Kappa, athlete, foodie, Mother, water lady, kind, caring, passionate,  eternal,  energy, and Leader.  Is this me? This and more.

My passion for health and wellness lead me to the miracles in alkaline-ionized micro-clustered mineral rich water which brings our body into balance and creates true health. Which lead me  to dig deeper and to enroll in the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, which you will hear about more in the future!  I began Monday, July 16th. 🙂

But before that, I was an athlete in high school, my proudest moment winning the state basketball tournament as captain of our team.  Then playing for the University of Washington.  Go Huskies! But did this form my desire as an advocate for true health and wellness.? Graduating from the University with a degree in Speech-Communication and immediately going to work for Pfizer–hum?…

Well that certainly gave me a education into Big Pharma.

I nursed both my children, believing natural was better. I subscribed to “Eating  Well” and “Cooking  Light”.   My Prized Gourmet magazines taking a backseat for ideas that supported that strong maternal desire for healthy children!  I invested in my first water system in 1983, fenced our small military back yard to keep my boys safe, and  was continually looking for that proactive movement needed for a healthy lifestyle.

Deep inside my soul, there has always been a desire to find the truth and a better–more holistic way to live.  Yes, we can live well, simply and have it all.  I marched to a different drum, always guided  by intuition and inner voice.  I know now that I am here to participate in the paradigm shift. My astrologer Brenda says that I am an original, out-of-the-box, no boundaries creative gal.  Because of Jupiter ( our philosophy in life or what we’re interested in ) is in Virgo and Virgo is HEALTH.  So, at my core I am interested in helping others be healthy and she says, ” ahead of my time.” And, something that helps mankind; to nurture the world!

Michael Brill, brilliant Cosmic numerologist says I am a 9. The “9” he writes, works to raise the level of self-awareness on the planet, this person is selfless, loves unconditionally, and is compassionate.  My horoscope also tells me I am ruled by the moon; the Mother of the zodiac; nurturer extraordinaire. Cancers are the home and family builders.  The Michael Teaching  tells me I am a scholar (my “primary  beingness”) and I have “an insatiable thirst and curiosity for new information and experience”. I am curious, honest, truthful, comprehensive, diligent, thorough, unassuming, methodical and thoughtful. Wow . . .

But no matter what, I have a voice and something to say and I will share it with you here! I hope it will enlighten and enhance life. And as I come across cool new stuff and healthy choices, I will share that too!

Love and light, and to our health,

Cathy
