Being RIGHT or Being HEALTHY

Sometimes we need to know when to lay down our sword. It may have served us at one time—or over the years perhaps, but there comes a point, when “it” must be laid to rest. Our personal need to be right, even if justified, does more harm than good over the long haul.  The greatest strength in fact, is when we are able to release our ego’s insecurities, secrets, blame, disappointment, loss, fear or suppressed negative emotions and step into the trust and surrender of the Universe’s support, which is Love. It is after-all a lesson we set up for ourselves, ironically. A message from us to us to be healed at last. If it’s a relationship with another, see it as an indicator of the other’s level of consciousness or ours—this divine set-up and a box that can be checked as completed—forgive and move on. It’s time! Why wallow in the fight when you can use your energy, and invest in what you truly desire—rather than that old albatross tethered to your back. How long must you carry this weight? How many lifetimes will you carry this lesson? Can we trust and allow that other soul to have their journey as well? Could we possibly see the gift? Why do we hold another so small? Why is our need to control so great? Can’t we just lay our sword down?

Holding onto anger is like drinking poison, and expecting the other person to die. The energy of anger is a ticking time-bomb. But other things to contemplate would include self-judgment or the noisy inner-critic that others mirror back to me.  Why do these feelings of hostility boil inside me—like that whistling tea kettle on the stove—reminding me—screaming—of these unsettled feelings inside I try so hard to ignore? That damn kettle! Yet, they bubble up—there’s no keeping them away. What beliefs or opinions keep me in a prison of my own design? What eats me up inside? (Negative Feelings need an outlet for expulsion.) Why do I have such an uncompromising attitude? Or why is it that I feel so rigid and cannot bend? Can we rewrite the story? Am I open to something new? Am I open to Love?

When we ignore these emotional sign-posts—the body amps up the game. Now we have compounded the unresolved emotional triggers with a physical issue—and another—and another and another. The cosmic 2×4 just swings harder hoping we get this message from ourselves. One thing is true, you can’t play “Uncle” with the Universe and win. These lessons are here for our growth and expansion—that we actually designed for ourself. We can make it easy or hard. The choice is always up to us.

We must take responsibility for our own healing journey. It cannot be delegated to another. Perhaps, in a greater understanding of divine cosmic Love, peace, joy, harmony, mercy and compassion we must pay attention, to these concepts and turn the page. It is ours and ours alone. It is only us that can dislodge the causes of our trauma. Can we know our true self?

Everything is neutral. It’s the meaning we give it. It’s funny, that there are no problems—only events. “It’s the mind that turns the event into a problem.” Yet, you are the creator in your own micro-universe. You have a choice to be victim or victor. Everything that happens to us is of our creation, desire and need. Isn’t it time we drop the old consciousness—the old worn out story—the tape in our mind, and instead embrace our divine elegance and magnificence? Isn’t that what we came here to do?

We are Earth Angels, here in disguise, to do good. We are here on time with our Soul Partner, Mother Earth, and our mission, that needs a higher consciousness and increased vibration to move this global shift forward. It takes us all to play our part. Are we ready to be healthy? Are we ready for resolution? Are we ready to be free? Are you willing to love yourself?

As the Ancient Tibetan Monk, Dong How Li reminds us, “Truly the heart is your treasure. It is the seat of all your healing powers.” The Warrior Ramtha adds, “The only healer of disease is the creator of it, which is self. Nothing can heal the body unless you first heal the attitude.”

Bring yourself back into harmony, by giving your pure intention—to be healthy—not right!

And so it is.

Rewriting Our Future

That sounds impossible —-even the title makes no sense—the future hasn’t happened yet, right? Maybe we live here with the capacity of many “future potentials” which exist just beyond our conscious awareness? There are many signs and indicators that says this is so. Science just believes what it sees—and then if it proves different—there is disbelief by many, just ask Dr. Bruce Lipton or Alfred Wegener. So, why wait for science to catch up?

We are creatures of habit. That serves us well sometimes and sometimes not so much. We have tremendous imagination to create new inventions and new innovations when we are open to new ideas and new ways of being; the Universe is always conspiring to help us succeed, but so often we stay stuck, resisting and refusing to let go. How’s that working for you?

I remember reading a story about a pair of slippers. The gentleman had been given a new pair for Christmas—and in spite of the beauty of the new pair he was given—he refused to wear them—insisting that the old holy thread bare ones were just fine.  I think he said his toes fit well!  A silly story, but how often do we refuse to slip “them” on and enjoy the feel of something new and toss the old ones out because they are no longer useful? Ideas and beliefs are that way too. Fear keeps us stuck in our past.

We can’t imagine a new future until we are ready to let go of what isn’t working. Relationships, jobs, and even our health fall into this category. Our lives give us challenges and ways to grow, but too many times, we do the same things over and over and then wonder—-how do I dig myself out—when we’re looking up at the light from the bottom of the well? It’s important in our daily lives, not just in philosophical meanderings on someone’s blog.  If travel is done in a multidimensional state, it is almost instantaneous. If we are multidimensional beings (of light)—then at some level, we have that ability as well. What better place than in our thoughts? We do it in our dreams every night.

Consciously, some have more access to it than others, but everyone has this ability.  Yet, just like our gentleman with the slippers—we have to believe this is so and throw away the old story. Are you ready for a new one? Or at least v.2.0?

What if this gentleman who received the new slippers—decides to walk next door—in his NEW slippers to thank his neighbor for receiving his package from UPS—which on this day required a signature? As he rings her doorbell—he realizes she has company—her sister is visiting. And, in the course of this exchange—meets the new Love of his life. By opening up to new things—even before they happen— changed his future. Letting go of our old story is necessary for healing too! “Ya, can’t sit there and whine”.

If we are multidimensional beings influenced by our multidimensional DNA, we could also assume we are always picking up these signals which may come in the form of electromagnetic waves. (Just ask an astrologer of the influences of space planetary configurations called trines, conjunctions and squares—as well as retrogrades and eclipses and thousands more!) That means we are always receiving messages—but because this is the “planet of free choice,” we have to give our intention to receive–and not resist this new upgrade—otherwise—the old software continues to run—and probably not well—until it eventually just crashes and dies.

So, the bigger question is, what timeline and future potential are you choosing? Which train are you choosing to ride? We all get to rewrite our future using the Quantum (invisible to our 5 senses) Ink. Think of it like using a black light—the writing is there ready to be seen, lived, viewed and used—we just need to believe that the light is already on. We must turn our head to see the writing and acknowledge that it’s there.

Can you see that you are so much bigger than you see in the mirror? Do you know and believe that there is a much better potential timeline waiting in the ethers for you? Are you able to see that vision? How can your story be seen as a soul visiting earth for your growth and expansion? How can your experiences cause you to love more? (including yourself) How can you see the magnificence in yourself and others?  How can the biggest challenges teach and heal you?  Even looking at them as teaching experiences changes our experience if we allow it. Maybe it’s finally time to connect with that deep invisible multidimensional part of your DNA—and begin to rewrite your future? Are you ready to wear your new slippers? What will your imagination, upgrade and quantum slippers create for your earthy future? Tell only the story you can tell!

Awakening to Biological Decoding

Let me make a bold statement:  All disease is emotional.  Dr. R. G. Hamer, MD, establishes the existence of biological laws that operate at 100% without exception: The disease is the translation of a conflict in the individual’s biology.  John Hopkins trained Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, MD simply says it this way, “If the mind doth bend, disease can end.”

Cancer, breast cancer for example, specifically, has it’s roots from a strong feeling of inner guilt  towards oneself or several of one’s children—anger and rejection are amplified, and “my” emotion will be ‘evacuated’  through “my” breasts, which will become a symbol of “my” ‘failure.’

Diabetes, is linked to sugar.  Sugar is linked to love, tenderness, and affections.  Diabetes reflects various feelings of inner sadness.  This love sickness is a sure lack of love.  “One controls their environment and those around me, because of previous wounds. I am experiencing an emotional abstinence,” if diabetes could talk.

Or heart— cardiac problems symbolize love, peace, and the love of life.  Heart problems often originate from a loss of love, from sadness, or from a resurgence of deep emotions, even after several years.  All secret, impossible loves, family love cheapened by conflicts will “attack” my heart.

Weight—especially excess that one unconsciously seeks to isolate oneself either through communications with the outer world or because there is an imprisoned emotion or feeling ‘isolated’ in me that I don’t want to see.  “Through my obesity, I am seeking a form of protection that I continually accumulate in my inner thoughts.  There is a gulf between me and the outer world.  I want so much to love and approach the people I love, but I am so afraid.”  With all the diet books on the market, we should be a slim and trim society, but something is in our way of that desired reality.

And btw, much to my amazement, it is important to add, that this separation between our emotional state of well-being and our physical disease began in the seventeenth century. According to John Hopkins researcher Candice Pert, PhD in her book Molecules of Emotion, René Descartes—a philosopher and founding father of modern medicine and the Pope made a “turf deal.”   According to Pert,  in order to acquire the bodies he needed for dissection, Descartes agreed he wouldn’t have anything to do with the soul, the mind—or the emotions—apparently under exclusive jurisdiction of the church at the time.

Modern research is confirming what the Chinese have always understood: “So much of the illness begins in the mind,” Said the Yellow Emperor, Huang Di centuries ago.  With many modern pioneers such as Louise Hay, Deb Shapiro, Jacques Martel, Claude Sabbah, MD, Dr. Hammer, Bruce Lipton, MD and dozens of others today. What has been separation which “could never overlap, creating the unbalanced situation that is mainstream science and medicine we know today.” It finally appears that the gap is coming to a close and we are coming full circle to once again recognize there can be no separation between our physical, emotional/mind and soul in our lives and well-being.  True wellness comes from within.IMG_7401

Three Aspects of  Creating True Health and Wellness

Cathy-Silver-logo (2)

Last week I received several questions from a client regarding news blasts on the latest discovery about the fat gene—the best way to prevent cognitive function demise in the gym’s weight room—bottled water, pH and good and bad carbs.  Rather than go head to head with the single focused claims and promises, I wanted to address instead what I felt would be the most important areas concerning true health and wellness. Isn’t that after all, what we all want to know?  How can I create or maintain good health?

We are not merely mechanical objects and therefore any discussion must include physical, mental and spiritual aspects. This holistic or “whole body” philosophy is important as nothing can be separated—all aspects of ourselves are entangled on many levels in spite of what we “see” in the mirror.  I think realistically more and more health care professionals are coming to accept this reality, but the change is slow.

The authors of the various articles I received, all addressed hot topics of concern today: obesity, water, carbs, cognitive function, pH.  Yes, these are all important pieces of the health puzzle. But, it’s kind of like subjects in school.  The emails all seem to be targeting and asking you to choose one thing; like choosing to study just one subject—math, english, history, art or shop. . . etc.   We would never do that to our kids—and the health industry shouldn’t do that to us either.  It’s the synergistic energy of everything working together.

On the physical,  I don’t believe anyone would  dispute that if you put sugary processed junk into your body—you create an imbalance.  And, no nutrition professional would dispute the importance of good carbs—which really translate to whole fruits and vegetables in your diet. (Fresh, organic and non-GMO being at the top.) The problem is the Standard American Diet is “SAD” and sorely lacking vegetables and fruits.  So bad in fact, experts are now counting ketchup in the vegetable count! Really!?? Highly processed cheap food is junk.  It really only “looks like food”. So much of it has been refined and modified from the original form; filled with words we cannot pronounce nor dare ask what they do.  Normally added for the benefit of the manufactures bottom line—certainly not ours!  This includes most fast food pick-ups and processed foods.  Microwave cooking destroys and changes the molecular structure of the food before we even eat it.  Mother Nature cannot be tricked! At some level our “Smart body” knows this.  Maybe that’s where some of the cravings come from—lack of nutrients—a starvation of sorts, being overfed and under nourished? But why would we choose such foods?  I’ve been witness to many who have stayed in my house!  Keywords: Pick and eat the best organic whole food available for your budget. One way is not necessarily better than another.  It depends on our individual genetic and akashic heritage. The watchword here being, bio-individual; there is no one diet for everyone! Select and eat organic whole foods which make you feel your best and look your best. 🙂

It’s hard to believe, but we are really walking columns of water with most people only drinking water when they take their medication.  Bottled water comes with it’s own inherent set of concerns.  Plastic or glass—with many brands, really just bottled “tap” water, not to mention the energy and consumption of energy it takes to get that bottle to the table.  (In my opinion, it would seem prudent to spend money on improving our local municipal water sources sans the chemicals and added extras like pharmaceuticals.)  There are solutions that help with both pH and hydration.  My client had purchased the Enagic Alkaline-ionizer, SD 501 years ago from me which makes Kangen water available 24/7 in your home. I believe it is one of the best decisions we can make to maintain our wellness.  I’m including a link to a demo, for those who are not familiar and a separate review about the pH discussion from a unbiased esoteric source. I carry my Kangen water  with me wherever I go—including on the plane!  TSA doesn’t like it, but I have a prescription and they must allow me carry it through security.  I feel great—and look much younger than many my age.

Cognitive function is so important and exercise is brings oxygen to the brain and relieves stress.  Do what you enjoy—and exercise daily.  Releasing stress, toxins and endorphins are all beneficial.  At the same time, improving muscle tone and creating an over-all feeling of happiness and optimal health are benefits.  Just do something you love. If you love your workout—you will make it a life long habit and not a passing phase.  For some that may be yoga or pilates.  For others it may be a swim everyday.  For others, it is the weight routine and the gym workout.  Nothing is better for me than going for a walk or taking my bike for a ride in the fresh air and sunshine.  Body types are different and so are the exercise routines and their appeals—not one recipe for all.  As you know, the important thing is do something you enjoy. (smiling) And, as a side bar, high frequency sound therapy is now being researched for Alzheimer’s  disease.  New medical break-throughs are on their way . . . stay tuned . . . and it will be different that we imagined!

There are two pieces missing, and maybe the contributors have written about them in the past? They are the mental and spiritual aspects to creating health. Neither of these authors address the mind-body connection, but “no disease can appear without the active participation of the brain.” Emotional imbalances in our life lead to lack of internal harmony.   Unresolved trauma’s underlie all conditions, diseases and stresses—and have greater influence than we could ever imagine or give them credit for. It is our message from us to us that we have “this” condition.  Everything from ingrown toenails to arrhythmias has an unresolved emotional component.  Louise Hay talked about fear and anger in her book years ago—so the concept is not new in this country.  In fact, “Modern research is confirming what the Chinese have always understood: So much of all illness begins in the mind,” In the final years of the twentieth century, we are finally beginning to accept the long held truth that body and mind are not only connected, they literally talk to each other all the time, in an ongoing dialogue that dramatically influences your health and well-being.” This balance is reflected both internally as well as externally. The internal environment represents itself as our emotions, trauma’s, thoughts and our responses to them.  The external environment includes our lifestyle, our nutrition, our movement (exercise) our relationships, etc.

Let’s go back to the obesity/fat gene query from my client.  Are overweight individuals eating and choosing sugary, processed, foods in a quest or yearning for the unresolved trauma of childhood or unresolved emotional conflicts within the clan? Somehow trying to full the void to love?  We all know times when we eat or drink too much. Why? Is the reason to distract or used as a means of soothing ourself—or somehow as a way of receiving the love we desire because we are lonely or upset about something in our life.  After all, being nursed by our mother is our earliest form of receiving love.  But, what happens if we don’t receive that?   The physical body is designed to heal itself, but unable when the mind-set that created the condition (our story) is untouched. What is the message from you to you? After all, obesity is usually recognized as a form of protection—“excess fat that my body puts between my inner being and my outer surroundings indicates that I unconsciously seek and want to isolate myself, either through my communication with the outer world or because there is an imprisoned emotion or feeling ‘isolated’ in me that I don’t want to see.” . . . I want so much to love people, but I am so afraid!  Am I protecting myself from assault, remarks, criticism, or uncomfortable situations, notable those involving my sexuality?”  Earthly nourishment also represents emotional nourishment . . . am I filling that inner void?

This emotional mental aspects help bring awareness to some of the missing link.  In fact, Bio Decoders help you investigate and discover the conflicts that generated stress, leading to pain and illness. They assist in providing a deeper understanding of how and why people become ill, and how the programs of illness can be decoded and released from the subconscious mind, where the illness was programmed and stored.  Dr. Claude Sabbah contributed more than 40 years experience and expertise puts it this way:  “Love is the true healer in the work that we do to resolve the conflicts giving rise to the onset of disease.

The spiritual component is the easiest, and yet the hardest.  For belief and intent are at the basis now for healing.  In today’s energy and shift, the same remedy or process, for all but only a few are healed.  The future of healing yourself is here, but it’s never been as profound as it is today.  “The consciousness of belief is needed for what you have in the next step of self healing.”   Self-healing, self-awareness, affirmations; anything you’re trying to accomplish right now—even synchronicity—you have got to align yourself with pure intent and believe it before it will happen.

Here is a simple affirmation, (below) Start with this—you can make up your own, but begin with the “I AM”.  This is powerful stuff to create well-being. Look into the mirror and say:

“I AM HEALTHY. I AM YOUTHING. I AM A SPIRITUAL BEING AND PART OF GOD. I AM THAT I AM. I AM ON PURPOSE. I AM BEAUTIFUL BEFORE GOD BECAUSE I AM PART OF THE PLAN OF GOD—AND THERE IS JOY THAT RINGS THROUGH THIS!”

These are the aspects of creating true and lasting health and wellness. It is up to us—and it won’t come in the form of a pill.  We are bigger than we have any idea, with multi-dimensional parts; all parts must be included as we continue to move further into the new human consciousness.

Oh, and the cognitive unresolved conflicts associated with Alzheimer’s Disease have to do with the “unconscious desire to terminate my life, to leave the world once and for all or to escape my reality, due to a chronic incapacity to accept or to face and deal with this reality and certain situations in life because I am afraid and am finding it painful to live.  I therefore make myself insensitive to my surroundings and to my inner emotions. ‘I numb myself’, I become ‘Light-headed’, and life then seems easier and death more acceptable . . . ” Want to know more?  Email me at cathysilverhealth@gmail.com.

These were several questions asked and  posted on the Kryon Website from Lee Carroll.  I re-post them here as an unbiased source around the sometimes controversial and hotly debated topic of pH.  You decide for yourself . . . If you are interested after reading this . . . go to www.kangendemo.com. If you are still interested, email me at cathysilverhealth@gmail.com for more information or to order a machine for your home and family.  The health of you and your loved ones is priceless.

~Cathrine  Silver, HC, AADP

P.S. I have owned my SD501 machine by Enagic since 2009!

QUESTION (26): Dear Kryon, my first questions are regarding stabilized oxygen water. Is it really of any value other than to the people selling it? Is it a good idea to pH-balance our water before we drink it? What is the best water accessible to us, in general?

My second question: I’m extremely confused regarding what foods to eat and whether pH balancing is really all I’ve heard it is. Would you expound on this?

I guess my most profound question (to me, anyway) is, through the power of intent and melding with our total self, is any of this really necessary?

ANSWER: The answer to these questions are quite logical, but they don’t conform to a simple answer.

Three years ago we told you that there would be more water products coming your way than ever before. The reason? Because your heath workers would begin to understand how important this basic sustenance is for you, and the beginning of the “secrets” of real biological balance would begin to be found. We told you that you’d discover that what you had felt was needed and healthy would end up looking like the dark ages of knowledge. In other words, you’d say, “How could we have ever believed this would be good for us?”

Now all this is at your doorstep. There are many waters available, and the first thing you do is ask, “Which one is right?” What if most are right? Why do you wish to limit your options to just one? Yes, the pH balance will be new information that will be controversial, then be validated over time by the health of the individuals who drink it. The process is still not fully understood, since your health industry still gives no credibility at all to the body’s intelligent structure. That is to say that the body isn’t just a chemical machine that reacts. It’s a creative machine that actually calls upon processes that are beyond chemistry, and which change portions of your DNA that speak to all cellular structure, and which create new paradigms of reality for you . . . immune setups, and longevity schemes that you haven’t discovered yet.

Are some just making money from this new fad? Yes. So what do you do? The answer is obvious: Try samples of what is offered and decide for yourself. Don’t weigh what others say or experience as your guide, since many of these new products aren’t generic to all biology. This means that they will affect some more than others. This is knowledge we brought to you many years ago. Throw away the idea that all biology is the same, and that a cure is a cure is a cure. It’s not, and you’re going to begin to see far more individuality within medicine and health substances.

The same is true with food, and there will be many discoveries there as well. But through all of this, we’ve also given you information that says that above all, the power of your consciousness can change both food and water. You can balance both to allow for everything you need. You can even change matter, and create a situation where ingesting food or water that might make another sick will actually nourish you. This is the promise for those who wish to examine this issue and take it all the way.

So, greet the food and don’t worry about it. Change it to match your own biological structure. This is actually very old spiritual information, lost along the way of modern civilization.”

Health Begins in our mind!

Cathrine_Silver_Logo 2 final
What is health and wellness and where does it actually begin? As the month and designation of “Health and Wellness Month” unfolds it is important to have a new insight into the depth we call health—and ask the question “What can I do to create more wellness in my life?”

For most it seems, that elusive term somehow slips from our view, as our own power, innate wisdom and guidance is relinquished to the “men in white coats.”  However, just like freedom is all a state of mind–so is our health. There is no limited quality—nor is it only available to some—and not others.  We have not been handed “bad genes” as once believed by medicine, but instead have the power within our grasp.  It is our responsibility. And, it is ours for the allowance. We have the ability to heal ourselves of anything. We have to ask ourselves, what do I really want? Do we simply want relief or do we want to be healed and step into a life of true health and a life of wellness to accomplish what we came here for? Ready?

First we must declare that intention. I believe true health lies hidden in what has been called self-love, and it is a reflection of our balance or imbalance and all have access.  Those receptors, antennae or Wi-Fi signals within our cellular structure that “hear” every thought, know every intent, allowance and recognize the energy of love are listening. The good news is once we have the information and understanding we have the power to do something!

What you say, I am responsible for my own well-being? I am not a victim of genetics? Can you own that? Are you willing to “try this new belief on?”  Or does this statement make you angry or mad?  Perhaps it empowers you to do something different?  Are you willing to take action?  Now, we’re getting somewhere!

Cutting edge science is not only talking about this but has proof as well.  And, you won’t hear this from big pharma who wants you to believe otherwise and stay trapped in the downward spiral of drugs and more drugs, helpless to do anything for ourselves.

We are beings of light and have the power to change our reality to anything we choose; it is free for the asking! What a concept!

Let me offer you 10 suggestions to get you on the road to your life of wellness:

1.) Turn off the news on the T.V.  Why do you want to program yourself with fear–conflict and negativity? Instead, find a way to laugh–and experience everyday joy!  Feeling better already?

2.) Get outside. Feel the energy of Mother Earth. Go for a walk. Take off your shoes—go to the beach.  Plan a picnic. (Even if it is a simple sandwich & sitting quietly by yourself.) Open the windows, and let the Devas in!  Find something to celebrate!

3.) Eat well–the best you can afford. Eat your fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water.  (And, no ketchup does not count as a fruit or veggie.) The fresher the better. Frozen is better than canned. Choose things that need no label or have 5 ingredients or less. Plant a garden or simply put a few plants in pots. Herbs do well in small spaces and can be fun to grow and experiment with. I grow tomatoes in the winter (south Florida season) but have rosemary, basil, green onions, thyme, sage, chives and parsley which do quite well. Shop farmers markets for affordable organic.  STAY AWAY FROM GMO’s.  And, skip the orange juice—it has lots of sugar.  Instead opt for an orange instead.  Cut down or eliminate the dairy.

4.) Do not use a microwave. Microwaves change the polarity of food.  Go back to the stove!

5.) Exercise! Exercise relieves stress and stress kills!  This doesn’t mean you have to join a gym unless that suits you.  Think movement:  Dance, swimming, walking, bicycling, or tennis—just get your body moving!

6.) Meditate. If you don’t know how purchase a cd–or visit a nearby yoga class. These classes are for every age. Find one you like.  All are different—it depends on the instructor. Stress was designed for short periods–like getting chased by a tiger. When we are stressed our immune system stops working and we are more susceptible to pathogens–germs–disease. Give yourself permission to quite your mind. Fill it with positive thoughts, expectations and breath.  It is our connection to Spirit—God—or All That Is.

7.) Do you have toxic relationships in your life? If your relationships are filled with anger, or other negativity remove yourself. Instead choose relationships that are caring, loving and supportive. Choose to trust that you will create space for positive relationships if you clear out the old and give allowance for someone new.  Remember like attracts like.

8.) Get creative. Creativity can create your future: your wishes, desires, aspirations, and future. Having fun elevates your mood which is good for your health. Creativity can show up as writing, drawing, photography, and singing–all those wonderful right brain activities; choose one!

9.) Drop in to your heart–get out of your left brain for a second–and feel yourself in a perfect state of wellness, harmony and the feeling of love.  Then read the statement below every morning with intention and allowance!  Really feel it!

“Dear Cellular Structure,

I wish to have the attributes that I have earned in what I call my past that will enhance the ability for me to live my current life with more ease and grace.  I wish to recall those things that will allow me to live longer, do my work better, and give me peace over the things that I desire to do.  I wish to mine the Akash for this, which is in my personal DNA.”

10.) Get help if you need to.  This is not a sign of weakness but one of choice and power. Einstein noted years ago, that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results was the definition of insanity.  Get out of your own way.   Emotions and the mind play the biggest role in determining our state of wellness.  These beliefs that we carry are the only thing that is really “inherited”—and the biggest question is:  Are we ready to do something to change our outdated story—habits and belief system to one that serves us better?  I say YES!  What is it for you?

Health and wellness begins and ends with us.  There are no victims–only unawareness. Step into your innate power and light–own it. Pretend you are “air traffic control” give the new coordinates to those 50 trillion cells within your body–and see what positive changes begin to unfold. Take your INTENT and your alchemy to create the greatest happiness and state of wellness you have ever known!

Amazing Frozen Lemons!

fresh lemonsFirst bananas and now lemons–What a concept! Many professionals in restaurants and eateries are using and consuming entire lemons and nothing is wasted. How? Simply . . . place the washed organic lemon in the freezer. Once the lemon is frozen, use your grater and shred the whole lemon—peel and all—and sprinkle it on top of foods.

I buy and use lemons to season chicken or tuna salad in place of salt. I also love them in water or tea. So after reading about this earlier in the week I tried grated lemon in tuna salad—someplace I normally add fresh lemon juice. This was easy and tasted great. Frozen grated lemons are also great and suggested to add into a vegetable salad, ice cream, soup, cereals, noodles, spaghetti, rice, fish dishes and more . . . the list is endless. Your foods will have a wonderful taste.

Even better, lemons peels or zest contain as much as 5 to 10 times more vitamins than the lemon juice. Peels are also health rejuvenator in eradicating toxic elements in the body. Place your washed lemons in the freezer and grate when needed.

Consulting, Rebecca Wood she reveals the medicinal benefits in her book, The New whole Foods Encyclopedia, that citrus in general is a miraculous food. A cooling agent for our body—be it from a fever, physical exercise or hot flashes. But, did you know that citrus varieties contain 58 known anticancer agents? One article claimed Lemon (citrus) is an extraordinary product to kill cancer cells and claims to “be 10,000 times stronger than chemotherapy”. I guess the labs have jumped on to this news and are in the process of making a synthetic version. Personally, I’d trust Mother Nature—both energetically and the micro-nutrients which work in harmony with our system. Lemons constrict body tissue, they dry damp conditions, resolve stagnation, and dispel sputum. If your digestion is off, lemon stimulates the flow of saliva, easing the work of the liver. They help to alkalize the body and are helpful in high blood pressure—good for sunburn, insect bites, sore throats, hiccups and weight loss.

For a great Morning Elixir, to gently bring your energy up restoring balance and rehydrating your body without the jolt from caffeine, boil (on the stove) 1 cup of water. Add two Tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, and honey to taste. Cayenne to taste (optional)

This will help your body if it is feeling stiff—or your mind if it is feeling cloudy. It could be your liver is complaining it didn’t complete its middle of the night task of blood cleansing. Who knew this beautiful yellow fruit brought to us from India was such a world class seasoning ingredient—and so remarkable for our health!

(Part 2) Emotions Affect Our Health and Our Path to Healing; 7 Ways to Help Yourself!

Now if this isn’t confirmation; the law of attraction in motion.  This morning as I was working on finishing touches of this blog I  received a call from John Castagnini who is a master and international expert on transcending our emotional perceptions into balance and harmony.  As I said last week, we must begin to look at these underlying causes so often discounted and dismissed. The choice is ours. Part of that illness or loss maybe opening our hearts to what’s next, and learning to connect with what is truly important in our lives.

Below are seven steps that will help you get started . . . rooted in Universal knowledge and intuition. Emotions and disease

Step 1 – Acknowledge that my disease may have emotional roots. And, it is just a form of communication from me to me. What have I have ignored for too long. Ask yourself, what sadness, hurt, anger, fear or loss is stored deeply waiting to be released? You just got “the Memo”; now what?
Step 2 – You must give Intent to heal—A very important question: Do you want to heal or simply choose relief? No one but you can answer that question.
Step 3- Examine your thoughts, attitudes, point of view, assumptions, habits, beliefs, and what we thought we knew! Everything is much bigger. Go outside into nature or pick a quiet place for meditation. Quietly or out-loud, ask for help; “Please tell me what I need to know?”  Then, listen for the answer. Challenge yourself and be willing to change; without judgment towards yourself. Does what I believe to be true, serve me now? Am I willing to step outside of my box? Do I need help? Am I willing to change the way I eat or the way I look at food? Sugar? Wheat? Caffeine? How I was treated as a child by my mother or father? Are the intimate relationships in my life supportive? Is my career fulfilling and joyful? How do I look at life? What is important to me?
Step 4 – Verbalize: Look at adopting new thought patterns. Feel the energy begin to change when you change your ideas about life and what has “happen to you.” It’s proven that positive thoughts influence our physical health. Can I forgive? Do I have gratitude? If we’re consciously grateful how would this look? We transmit this gratitude and it returns to us exponentially. The Universe always tells us yes: Shut your eyes, feel and repeat: “I am whole, Healthy and complete. Everything has come to me for a reason whether I understand it or not.  I am healthy and a powerful piece of the divine.” Yes, you are! (–The Universe).
Step 5- Live your Truth.  What someone thinks of me or my situation is none of my business. (To paraphrase Les Brown.)  Perhaps, it’s time to make up your own mind about what you innately belief.  We can heal our disease or condition, and not be subject to someone else’s well-intended spousal or professional opinion. As in the movie Risky Business . . . “if you can’t say it, you can’t do it.” Whatever you believe to be true is. So, here’s a secret. You are a part of God. Does it not feel better to begin to own your power? Love is power. And, Love is the space where the miracles happen. Are you ready to step into your power of LOVE?
Step 6 – Catalyst: A person or thing that precipitates an event or change.  Your healer, doctor, therapist or holistic health coach is the catalyst for helping to balance your energy. But it is YOU that heal yourself. Our body was designed to be self-healing. Energy healing is a system of balance. Healers no matter what we call them don’t heal, they balance. Pick a balanced one. The individual human reaction to a balanced healer is what heals the human.
BONUS: It all begins with you. Intent and love can change physical things. Drop into your heart. Give your intent and say:

The Heart is the feeling center of your being!

The Heart is the feeling center of your being!

“Dear God, by intent I choose to remove myself from my lesson and give myself permission to let this disease (or anger or fear) leave. It is not appropriate. It is going to keep me from being what I came to be.”

Always more to come!

Obama Care or Wellness for Me? It’s time to Paint a New Picture!

Healthy 2

Lets change our mindset. A declaration to ourselves.  I’ve been thinking about our dysfunctional sick care  or insurance reform that’s been in the news almost daily and know this is not the answer. American’s are smarter than this, and it’s time to take control of our own destiny. The question is really, how do we stay out of the sick-care spiral? Our current system  is a failure to create true health.   What about instead, a  pro-active choice to live a life of vitality and wellness?  The WHO (World Health Organization) defines health “is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease and infirmity.”

Ask yourself in this moment,  what do I need to do to insure myself a life of wellness– Today? (Not next week, or next month or next year or when I get around to it or after I have a heart attack or diabetes.)  The responsibility has to shift to us and our choices in the moment; not some future situation or event.  I always tell my clients it’s easier NOT to have to DIG YOURSELF out of a ditch or mud hole–you know when your boots are stuck.   What does it take to avoid the ditch and mud?  Everybody can live a life of wellness–not just a few.  Just like the air we breathe–there is not a limited number of people who can be well at one time.  There is  no preset number or rotation or take a number; the responsibility  becomes ours.

Educators and parents have used the philosophy of  Natural and Logical consequences for years.  I used it on my own children. It goes like this: If I choose option A (this could or will happen) and if I choose option B ( another set of potentials must happen) but the responsibility ultimately falls on our shoulders or in the case of my kids–theirs– and I have no one to blame, but myself!  Nifty for kids–more to think about when it us!

Hum, let me see, what do I get to do today that supports me being healthy? That gives me vitality? That allows me to fulfill my passion, purpose and desires? That creates positive energy in my life?  How can I shift the box I now live in to create this space?

I  love the metaphor of the painter and his canvas.

Could I use a few new paintbrushes to paint another canvas? Is it time to bring out the paint set, set up my easel and dream for a minute about a new way to paint? Is it the paint, brushes, technique or time of day–what I wear or don’t wear that inspires me to paint without the constraint of what I was taught? A roller, a rag, stones, leaves, splashing, throwing, dripping, spinning, mixing our medium and colors to recreate and unlearn all that we we taught in Art School?  Maybe forgetting everything and painting with our innate wisdom, a more beautiful and profoundly moving piece of art and portrait?  What if our paintbrushes were our tools for wellness–and the canvas was our body.  Are we able to UN-learn what we think we know?  How open are we to a new technique not restricted by someone else’s belief and truth moving forward without our fears in our personal new paradigm of wellness.  Drop your resistance. We can do this.  You can do this! Begin today! Do whatever it takes to wipe the cobwebs off your easel.

Pick up ‘one new color’ that calls to you–and a small brush. The brush represents a more healthful lifestyle choice;  the color; our action. Could that be a pair of walking shoes to walk around the block? Or eating something green? Or having a apple with lunch or skipping the drive-thru or packing something from home because its organic? What about  becoming gluten free or reading labels and watching our ingestion of sugar laden foods? Or drinking more water? Each of us is on our own time schedule–and our old canvas we’re painting over is sometimes cracked and worn, but the new masterpiece is well worth the effort, if we can just use our imagination and see in our minds eye, what is possible. Now download some Mozart, write your intentions and make a dream board.  The Universe always tells us “yes”. Choose one big thing and one small thing that you can do today to begin this journey! Shut your eyes and feel the joy and vitality shifting with your intent and declaration. Congratulations, you’re on your way!  The master is you, soon to be unveiled!

Gaia’s Abundance ▪ What’s Fresh in the Market Right Now?

Brussels SproutsFall brings its bounty; there are many vegetables and fruits that we typically consider “fall”. We all know pumpkins ripen around Halloween, but what about pomegranates, or a new variety of winter squash? This year I began to notice, and try some new varieties, a medley I typically haven’t  prepared in the past.  Acorn squash is one example, as I’ve always been more of a sweet potato gal.  I wondered, though, if Mother Nature provided this harvest, what are the benefits of eating such things as:  acorn squash, chestnuts, cranberries, or Brussels sprouts? And, do these vegetables prepare us for the winter?  I whipped out my Whole Foods Encyclopedia by Rebecca Wood and share what I discovered.  I hope this will encourage you to try something new!

Acorn Squash started this whole discourse. LOL.   Squash is considered a chi tonic* and a warming food that is medicinal to the spleen, stomach, large intestine and lungs.  It improves energy and blood circulation. Winter squash is exceptionally high in complex carbohydrates (A good thing for keeping the glycemic index stable.) and is medicinal for diabetics and those with digestive problems.  Squash provide vitamins A and C, potassium and magnesium.  It is an excellent source of pre-vitamin A and often carotenoids and therefore has anticarcinogenic properties.

I experienced hot chestnuts while visiting NYC many years ago from a street vendor.  I didn’t know if I liked them at first, because of the texture, but it happened to be cold and blustery and after a few, I decided I did in fact appreciate their uniqueness to my palate.  I now look forward to their appearance in the stores.  They are easily and quickly boiled—sliced with X’s and “roasted” in the oven.  They happen to be a chi and yang tonic** and the chestnuts nurture the kidneys, stomach and spleen.  Rebecca describes them as sweet like fruit, but unlike fruit, it warms and builds, rather than cools and cleanses.  They are a good ‘convalescing food and they have an astringing nature that controls diarrhea, coughing, whooping cough and rheumatism’.

I have already made my first batch of cranberry sauce this year—one of my favorite condiments.  Cranberries are actually native to North America and a welcome sight when I see them in the store.  They are a cold food and dispel heat and damp.  They act upon the bladder, kidney and large intestine.  They are rich in polyphenol antioxidants and appear to benefit the immune and cardiovascular system. They have anticancer properties and have a chemical compound called proanthocyanidins which help inhibit bacteria in the bladder, urinary tract and teeth.  Cranberry consumption also reduces some types of kidney stones.  Who knew?

Brussels sprouts seem to be a controversial food; they are either loved or hated!  But, given the evidence and benefits to the body, perhaps they are worth taking another look—and taste.  They happen to be a warming food that helps disperse cold.  They support the stomach and large intestine function and mildly stimulate the liver out of stagnancy.  They are an excellent source of folic acid, vitamins C and K and beta-carotene.  Nutritionally and energetically, they’re similar to cabbage and contain numerous glucosinolates, which are cancer fighting phytochemicals.  At their prime need only to be seasoned with butter and salt or with extra virgin olive oil and lemon after they have been blanched or steamed.

And, last but not least are Pomegranates, not typically something I buy often. But I was recently a host-family to a student who grew up in Iran.  She showed me how they ate them and I watched her squeeze the rind and turn this fruit into fresh ruby red juice—I was amazed!  Pomegranates are a yin tonic*** that disperses heat and treats the bladder, spleen, stomach, liver and large intestine.  They promote the production of red blood cells, expel tape worms, strengthen the bladder and gums and soothe ulcers in the mouth and throat. Rebecca also states that they have punicalagins (the tannins in the pomegranates) have free radical activity and therefore treat heart disease and help protect against cancer.  Clinical data shows the effectiveness of pomegranates in treating breast, lung, and prostate cancer.  They also help with the assimilation of fats, protein and carbohydrates.

*Chi Tonic: Improves and maintains the quality and quantity of available energy in the body.
**Yang Tonic: Maintains and improves our ability to generate warmth and stimulate our system.
***Yin Tonic: Complementary to yang in Chinese philosophy. Yin is the female element and associated with moon, night, damp, cold, interior and decending.

Vitamin G: A Powerful Way to Start Everyday!

Gratitude-is-the-hearts-memory-a-French-proverb1Gratitude, another key to happiness and well-being. We all know this innately, but sometimes it’s like forgetting to put our napkin in our lap or turning off the light before we exit a room.
Gratitude is more than an intellectual exercise of just giving thanks or uttering the platitude, “I feel blessed today”. Not of course that those things aren’t true, but it is the ability to really feel this emotion.  When we drop into our heart we activate a consciousness and create a new reality ; this is where the magic happens!

I remember saying grace every evening at the dinner table growing up.  It was the prerequisite to beginning the family meal, and looking back, it felt more like sitting at a red light, waiting for the signal to turn green–and permission to GO. This morning, when I look around at all the hardship and  daily struggle, my gratitude extends to many things in my life; I note my beautiful home, my purposeful career, my friends–and family. My boys are good,  my health excellent–and my parents still alive in their 80’s.  And, although I am no longer 30, I have more life lessons under my belt.   I have more experience, wisdom and insight that melds with who I have become today.  I look forward to whatever the future brings.

So, gratitude for me is about really feeling it in my heart. It’s yours to own as well when we are able to get out of our head. The heart, is 5000 times more powerful than our left-brain intellect. The hearts mystery contains the powerful feminine-side of our emotions, feelings and love. It is the seed which is able to move mountains–that tiny seed when nurtured is able to grow through the toughest conditions.  It all begins with intention. Do we show love and have gratitude for our earth, the plants and animals–our forests and oceans and all the abundance contained therein?

I send the challenge out to you too: gratitude for 60 seconds today? And, if you are having a really “bad”day, can you think of just one thing–and then notice how you feel? What about one more? Better huh. On a good day these things are easy– but the power comes when we are challenged. So, what do you have gratitude for, and what does it feel like when we choose from our heart?  After all, recent studies indicate, about 40 percent of our own happiness is entirely within our control.  What if it was even higher than that?  100 percent?  Who knows?

A massage for our soul, certainly our mind, and also the place the seeds to health, and wellness are nurtured and grow.  And, by the way, gratitude and happiness include at wide range of health benefits for us including, less incidence of strokes.  We have better immunity against colds and flu.  We have less pain, lower cortisol levels, less stress and inflammation in our body. Like a beautiful garden, see what shows up in your life when the seeds of gratitude are planted! Better than any supplement. Happy is healthy. Have you had your energetic and transforming Vitamin G today?

gratitude
