Turn Off The News

BeachI don’t watch the news.  I feel if there is something important, someone will let me know.  It has been this way for years.  I don’t want to be enrolled into the fear-based media which breeds more fear and which does not serve me personally—ever—because fear turns off my light and yours too.

Why would I want to participate in anything that extinguishes my light; we are here to be lighthouses and shine the light which transforms us—and transforms our world.  When I do occasionally catch something on television news, it more often than not focuses on one extremely unbalanced act of tragedy—or dysfunction rather than the 10,000+ acts of goodness, beauty, and kindness that exist every day in our neighborhoods, cities, states and world.  Neighbor helping neighbor; good Samaritans coming to the aid of strangers, or the hundreds and thousands other acts of benevolence that take place each day.

Lately, it has been Ebola, groups who want to terrorize, the mudslinging between our politicians or bad behaving NFL players. Let the experts address these issues.  Instead, isn’t it healthier for us and more astute to ask yourself what is new and good in your life?  Even if you’ve had a challenging day—think of something that made you smile.  Perhaps it is time to look at life, not through the eyes of fear, but the strength of love and compassion.  And, the little acts that bring you joy.

I’ve always felt that when the news can create fear and terror— in populations—in us—control can more easily be achieved.  After all fear is used to sell many goods and services because it works—everything from insurance to home protection—and beyond.  Remember, what we focus on grows and expands.  Have you ever wondered why the hypochondriac always seems to get the very disease they fear?  Perhaps it is really time to focus on what we want; where we can bring some goodness and light to our own personal corner of the world. Words spoken out loud in personal affirmations are powerful when done in the present “I AM ___________.” (healthy, magnificent, balanced, giver of light, and so on.)

Try a meditation or a walk that transports you to a place of peace—imagine yourself sitting at the beach with the sun on your face listening to the waves with a palm tree at your back—or sitting on a big boulder in the middle of a mountain stream—listening to the sounds of the water whirling over the rocks, the birds singing and feeling the refreshing vibrant energy of the lush green plants and beautiful trees on either side of the river bank.  From there, begin to send love and compassion to the world.   You know, there can be no darkness when there is light.  So, flip “on” your light switch and send out love and light to yourself, to your family and neighbors or whoever is in need—at some level—we are all family after all.  Send out compassion to the world for the highest good without an attachment of what it must look like.  Thoughts are things, and are more powerful than we realize; those waves of light-filled energy will touch others in so many unseen ways—invisible—and unexplainable—just like gravity, magnetics and the feelings of love.  If we want to make a difference in our own lives—as well as others—raising the vibration everywhere—spend  just a minute and visualize this light going out from your heart touching thousands.  The most powerful thing we might do today—changing the world by our thoughts right from our chairs.  Truth is light. What a concept.  Today, raise your vibration, send out light to the world—and turn off the news!

Getting Out of the Drama and Stepping Into the Compassion. We Enhance Our Everyday Well-Being When We Are Compassionate.

Last night while working with a client the topic of compassion arose.  My client was having trouble at work with a co-worker who in fact was very close to her at one time; I would add almost sisters. They had been through a lot together. Tonight, she wished her dead, out of her life and did not want to be partcompassion of hers.  I asked her several questions, and then lay down on the floor as if dead.  Now, what would you say to her?  How would you feel if she died tonight?  What unspoken thoughts would you have left to say?

It is so easy for us to point our finger at another, but what really does it say about us?  What is it within us that triggers our anger? Or fear?  And, why?  We had been working on this for a while, but today she made a choice to extend the olive branch out of love.  I suggested over a cup of coffee—but that was her decision and gift to herself.  It was her choice to create peace, joy and happiness in her life, I could not do that for her.  It takes so much more energy and angst to be hateful rather than loving towards another.  And on a global scale, how can we have world peace, when we cannot even get along with family, friends and co-workers—let alone others  who live on the other side of the world?  It must however start with us–and the personal dramas that are ridiculous.

This morning I received a phone call.  “Cathy, that one-act of kindness changed my life yesterday.  She and I are friends again.  My boss told me how much I mean to our company and what a great sales person I am.  I received an email about what a great job I had done in a volunteer position, and another friend stopped by with a movie and popcorn. I am seeing how everything is related.”  It was as if this one change on my part opened my heart and the gates in many parts of my life shifted all at once; conformation from the Universe?  You decide!

Compassion is an interesting word is it not?  I ask you to step away from the older definition of deep sympathy and sorrow and to one that is more expansive.  Perhaps a newer definition may include something like, “seeing the love in another and like a mirror it reflects back at us or stepping up to extend a hand or ear to another knowing that yes, we all face challenges and one day—you or I may need just the same compassion for something we are going through?  It is life and part of our journey, after all.”  None of us get out of here unscathed. (Smiling)

As the consciousness shifts there will be less survival tendencies and more reaching out to help our fellow human and ironically just like my client, will create healing and shifts that will reverberate in your own life and in others you touch along the way—seen or unseen.

Albert Einstein once wrote, “A human being is a part of the whole called by us universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feeling as something separated from the rest, a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest to us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.”
Can you step out of your self-imposed prison? Can you come from a place of compassion? Peace in the world begins with us, one person at a time.  Who in your life is waiting for an olive branch from you?  And, if you cannot go to compassion, can you take the first step to neutrality?  Sometimes, we need to re-write what we think we know and believe.  Remember, whatever we believe is true.

Health Begins in our mind!

Cathrine_Silver_Logo 2 final
What is health and wellness and where does it actually begin? As the month and designation of “Health and Wellness Month” unfolds it is important to have a new insight into the depth we call health—and ask the question “What can I do to create more wellness in my life?”

For most it seems, that elusive term somehow slips from our view, as our own power, innate wisdom and guidance is relinquished to the “men in white coats.”  However, just like freedom is all a state of mind–so is our health. There is no limited quality—nor is it only available to some—and not others.  We have not been handed “bad genes” as once believed by medicine, but instead have the power within our grasp.  It is our responsibility. And, it is ours for the allowance. We have the ability to heal ourselves of anything. We have to ask ourselves, what do I really want? Do we simply want relief or do we want to be healed and step into a life of true health and a life of wellness to accomplish what we came here for? Ready?

First we must declare that intention. I believe true health lies hidden in what has been called self-love, and it is a reflection of our balance or imbalance and all have access.  Those receptors, antennae or Wi-Fi signals within our cellular structure that “hear” every thought, know every intent, allowance and recognize the energy of love are listening. The good news is once we have the information and understanding we have the power to do something!

What you say, I am responsible for my own well-being? I am not a victim of genetics? Can you own that? Are you willing to “try this new belief on?”  Or does this statement make you angry or mad?  Perhaps it empowers you to do something different?  Are you willing to take action?  Now, we’re getting somewhere!

Cutting edge science is not only talking about this but has proof as well.  And, you won’t hear this from big pharma who wants you to believe otherwise and stay trapped in the downward spiral of drugs and more drugs, helpless to do anything for ourselves.

We are beings of light and have the power to change our reality to anything we choose; it is free for the asking! What a concept!

Let me offer you 10 suggestions to get you on the road to your life of wellness:

1.) Turn off the news on the T.V.  Why do you want to program yourself with fear–conflict and negativity? Instead, find a way to laugh–and experience everyday joy!  Feeling better already?

2.) Get outside. Feel the energy of Mother Earth. Go for a walk. Take off your shoes—go to the beach.  Plan a picnic. (Even if it is a simple sandwich & sitting quietly by yourself.) Open the windows, and let the Devas in!  Find something to celebrate!

3.) Eat well–the best you can afford. Eat your fruits and vegetables and drink plenty of water.  (And, no ketchup does not count as a fruit or veggie.) The fresher the better. Frozen is better than canned. Choose things that need no label or have 5 ingredients or less. Plant a garden or simply put a few plants in pots. Herbs do well in small spaces and can be fun to grow and experiment with. I grow tomatoes in the winter (south Florida season) but have rosemary, basil, green onions, thyme, sage, chives and parsley which do quite well. Shop farmers markets for affordable organic.  STAY AWAY FROM GMO’s.  And, skip the orange juice—it has lots of sugar.  Instead opt for an orange instead.  Cut down or eliminate the dairy.

4.) Do not use a microwave. Microwaves change the polarity of food.  Go back to the stove!

5.) Exercise! Exercise relieves stress and stress kills!  This doesn’t mean you have to join a gym unless that suits you.  Think movement:  Dance, swimming, walking, bicycling, or tennis—just get your body moving!

6.) Meditate. If you don’t know how purchase a cd–or visit a nearby yoga class. These classes are for every age. Find one you like.  All are different—it depends on the instructor. Stress was designed for short periods–like getting chased by a tiger. When we are stressed our immune system stops working and we are more susceptible to pathogens–germs–disease. Give yourself permission to quite your mind. Fill it with positive thoughts, expectations and breath.  It is our connection to Spirit—God—or All That Is.

7.) Do you have toxic relationships in your life? If your relationships are filled with anger, or other negativity remove yourself. Instead choose relationships that are caring, loving and supportive. Choose to trust that you will create space for positive relationships if you clear out the old and give allowance for someone new.  Remember like attracts like.

8.) Get creative. Creativity can create your future: your wishes, desires, aspirations, and future. Having fun elevates your mood which is good for your health. Creativity can show up as writing, drawing, photography, and singing–all those wonderful right brain activities; choose one!

9.) Drop in to your heart–get out of your left brain for a second–and feel yourself in a perfect state of wellness, harmony and the feeling of love.  Then read the statement below every morning with intention and allowance!  Really feel it!

“Dear Cellular Structure,

I wish to have the attributes that I have earned in what I call my past that will enhance the ability for me to live my current life with more ease and grace.  I wish to recall those things that will allow me to live longer, do my work better, and give me peace over the things that I desire to do.  I wish to mine the Akash for this, which is in my personal DNA.”

10.) Get help if you need to.  This is not a sign of weakness but one of choice and power. Einstein noted years ago, that doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results was the definition of insanity.  Get out of your own way.   Emotions and the mind play the biggest role in determining our state of wellness.  These beliefs that we carry are the only thing that is really “inherited”—and the biggest question is:  Are we ready to do something to change our outdated story—habits and belief system to one that serves us better?  I say YES!  What is it for you?

Health and wellness begins and ends with us.  There are no victims–only unawareness. Step into your innate power and light–own it. Pretend you are “air traffic control” give the new coordinates to those 50 trillion cells within your body–and see what positive changes begin to unfold. Take your INTENT and your alchemy to create the greatest happiness and state of wellness you have ever known!

The Power of Apple

The wondrous apple     Anxious to grab a morning walk before the temperatures rose to quickly, I snatched a crisp red organic apple out of my refrigerator drawer–a Gala to be precise.   Apples are one of my favorite fruits–conveniently packaged in a  portable size and sturdy enough to be carried almost anywhere.  They have the advantage so far–of making it through airport security; my yogurt was not so lucky!  As I munched through the house multitasking, my mind wandered just briefly about the iconic  platitude “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.”

This is one fruit that we apparently love.  Emerson called it “the American fruit.”  Those who keep track of such things estimate that we consume about 120 apples per year–per person.  And, did you know that the apple originated not far from the mythical Eden, in Almaty, Kazakhstan in Central Asia where wild apples still cover the foothills?   Most of ours don’t come that far, and although they grow in almost all states,  if you have ever driven through Yakima, Ellensburg or the Wenatchee Valley you would not need to be convinced  that most apples in the United States come out of Washington state where 12 billion apples are thinned and picked by hand.  That’s a lot of apples!

No one is better suited than Rebecca Wood, author of The New Whole Foods Encyclopedia to detail the medicinal benefits of apples.  According to her expertise, apples are a cooling food–and both a yin & chi tonic that treat the heart, lungs, large intestines, stomach and spleen.  They invigorate and promote vital energy and help dispel toxins.  Apples contain something called Malic and tartaric acids which inhibit fermentation in the stomach making apples easier to assimilate than most other fruits.

They are moistening and so reduce thirst, reduce fever, and ease dry hot lungs.  In addition, apples, especially green, help to cleanse the liver and gallbladder and help to soften gallstones.  Rebecca recommends giving grated raw apples to children to reduce their fever. To ease a dry cough her recommendation is to steam apples with honey until they’re soft and eat–to eliminate phlegm from the lungs, prepare apples with agar.

Apples are a rich source of pectin and so can lower cholesterol, promote beneficial intestinal flora, and support normal colon function.  They’re high in quercetin and other flavonoid antioxidants that help protect against heart disease, cancer and asthma.  They are also an excellent low-calorie source of fiber and vitamin C–and other nutrients.

When we look back not too far in our own history, I ask: Did our love affair with this American fruit begin here with the  myth and legend of John Chapman–a.k.a. Johnny Appleseed.  An interesting character,  he traveled the vast unsettled territories of our new country with his bag of seeds planting trees: a unspoken message– perhaps one that we should heed more closely today?  Is there a synergy between man and the apple or apple and man?   You know kind of like the squirrel and the acorn? Once thing is sure our love affair with the apple is far from over and it seems with out a doubt  is good for our system of creating health within.   For me it can certainly be taken out of “bible lore” and brought into the our  daily ritual–for snacks, salads, dried, cooked, –juiced or cider.  Whether we call them Braeburn or golden, Granny Smith or McIntosh the message is clear–an apple a day really should keep the doctor away.

Moving into a New Energy – 2014

2014 Happy New Year

The past year of recalibration has concluded and we continue to slide quickly into 2014. Is it astute to ask:  What is the flavor to come?  A “seven-year” in the eyes of numerology means–one of divinity, perfection and wholeness.  So what does that really mean?I can’t say exactly how your world or for that matter my year will unfold, but what I am sure of, is, it all begins with intention. A declaration to ourselves and to the Universe that lovingly supports our growth and enlightenment–unfolding before our eyes–seen or unseen, our actions will support this unfoldment.
What about a year where we create wellness, vitality and a body of health?  And if so, what changes does that mean for you? I say it’s possible to use our intuition, not our intellect, on what our body needs–more greens, veggies, fresh fruit or water perhaps? A morning meditation? Or do we need more movement in our life such as a new exercise routine; something we love to do! What about healthy relationships and a career of passion?

Emotions are something we cannot afford to ignore!  Can we admit and recognize deep pains stuffed and stored in the recesses of our being, begging to be released once-and-for-all? We are supported on many layers–each building upon another by the larger intelligence to which we are all deeply connected. Our challenges differ slightly for each of us. But if we adopt a “whatever it takes attitude” to walk through our fears and trust what lies ahead on the other side will be a life of joy, compassion, acceptance, tolerance and our integrity for ourselves.  Truly able to be free and to celebrate us–our shining perfection– flaws and all!  Make your list with heartfelt intent and the synchronicity will follow. To a  Happy Healthy year of Wellness; let it begin now!

Bringing in More Light . . . Compassion Choir 2013

Creating a new reality? Rewriting the future? Singing tones to the Earth?
Opening time capsules?

It sounds like science fiction: Star Wars, Stargate, Star Trek or Deep Space Nine; creative imaginative writers working for some big Hollywood production studio. Right? Wrong. But, as you already know, truth is stranger than fiction.

Like iron filings to a magnate, I was drawn to and spent this past week in Cancun, Mexico toning sacred sounds in an ancient language: two choirs singing two different sets of tones paired together. We sang  twenty-six tones,  “speaking” to our personal DNA and activating time capsules within ourselves while simultaneously speaking to and unlocking  attributes for our beloved Mother Earth, activating things called grids, nulls, nodes and more time capsules–all quantum, put in place by the ancient Pleiadians, our long lost family, from the Seven Sisters should we make it this far—and we have!

All of this unlocked by a brilliant scientific visionary, Dr. Todd Ovokaitys, who served as the choir master 26,000 years ago in a civilization known as Lemruia.  Over the last dozen years he has remembered precise patterns to trigger the opening of our pineal glands, beginning to awaken and transform us– humanity– to a more compassionate race and sending information to the universes and galaxies beyond, tapping into a deep level of “quantum reality.”  These seen and unseen, male-female, inward-outward, giving-receiving, and compassion-allowing energies create a very real and profound experience recognized in our awareness or not. These tones mine information stored within our Akashic records, opening channels of telepathy, aiding in transformation without limits, activating the third eye and tying us into a quantum connection with All There Is.

Fascinating esoteric stuff–invisible–like gravity, magnetics or the feelings of love—but based in physics and way beyond my technical expertise. Yet it resonates as Truth for me and that is why I share it with you and why I spent this past week in Mexico with 300 others from around the world.  Everything is energy and “at the level of quantum understanding, everything in the Universe is simply waves and vibrations” including these rhythms, tones and sounds we generated together in a beautiful angelic chorus.

But, the bigger question is why? In a simple answer: Compassion. By singing and toning these unique sounds and patterns, the choir began to move humanity and birth our new reality; to help us become more astute and caring to each other no matter what corner of the world we live in. These are the beginning steps to a new foundation for humanity as we begin to move out of our current competitive dog-eat-dog fear-based world and into a world and new human consciousness that will embrace attributes such as: tolerance, temperance, generosity and integrity.

I share this vision of unlimited possibility and ask you to believe in a world of peace, love and compassion as the new structure unravels our past and the old crumbles giving way to this new outlook.  Look around and ask, Have we begun this shift? The answer is, yes. You can see glimpses as it begins to unfold—like a delicate flower opening before our very eyes. Perhaps as family members respect and honor the others’ opinions and ways of being for the first time–ever, or as simply a more cooperative spirit among your colleagues at work?  There will be a noticeable shift.  And, does it really matter how we get there? I think not, but one day we will all celebrate this new world together,  only remembering the dark barbaric ways of the past, and instead, seeing our magnificence. And that is a beautiful and divine place to be!

Thoughts on . . . Thanksgiving

Happy-ThanksgivingWhat is important to us? What’s really important? With the approaching holidays just around the bend–perhaps it is time to examine our priorities and lighten up? “Perfect” is only a state of mind; a belief. The perfect dinner. The perfect table. The perfect company. We put so much pressure on ourselves and others about what holidays HAVE to look like. Maybe we need more spontaneity and fun? Yes, the new “F” word: FUN.  Anyone who knows me, knows I like to cook, inviting others to enjoy a great meal–no matter what the occasion. But gone are the days when everything must be just so.  It is all about enjoying the moment.   I am giving you permission for the same!

When the fun is gone, the stress takes over. Is it time to re-create and unlearn how we believe the holidays must look? Can you be in the moment and enjoy the NOW—not worrying about the next leg of the modern-day relay race? Why not decide in advance how you can remove some of the pressure of the perfect “Hallmark” dinner. Maybe crazy cousin Eddy’s unexpected arrival is divinely designed to add the spark of humor and lightness that no one else brings? The dessert falling or the dog helping himself to the plate of appetizers will not be the end, but a memory everyone will remember and laugh about long after the wishbone from the turkey is snapped. It is the heart not the head that gets us into this feeling of love and love doesn’t care about perceptions –a wrinkled table cloth or chips in a couple of plates.  It directs you to what is real.

If it is easier to share the responsibility–or get the restaurant on the corner to do part of the cooking, so much the better. I know it looks different for every family. This year, is it possible to start a new tradition? Or UN-learn something? Perhaps, invite someone to your house who has no family near? Or choose to bury the hatchet with a relative over an argument you had that you can’t even remember what it was about? A potluck? A neighborhood Thanksgiving? A brunch or an open house? Or a different day; it is only a day on the calendar.

Whatever it is, make the declaration and set the intention to have fun. Attitude is everything. When the stress creeps in, don’t forget to exercise–even just a quick walk will make a difference. Trade an apple for a slice of apple pie. Visualize, meditate and keep a good attitude. It’s only dinner after-all!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Death, what do we really know? Who are we? Is it programed within our DNA?

Mom And Carl

Brother and sister together in August

We observe change daily. Our lives are interlocking cycles of change. Are we more connected with the earth and to each other than we consciously know? I like to believe this is so. Like puberty and our reproductive cycles, are souls programed to exit our physical bodies too? A biological time-clock counting down pre-programed, before we arrive in physical form? Simply and beautifully, I liken it to leaves when they detach and are blown off the tree? I promise more lightness next week, but today, I have been thinking about death all day. I was awake a 3, 4 and 5 am. At 5:15 am, I decided to get up and make a cup of coffee.

When I lived in Nacogdoches, I knew a lovely woman from Garrison. One day in conversation she said, that the ‘old timers’ say, when the sap starts to fall many people leave; fall and winter were their busy seasons at the funeral home; that was 15 or more years ago, and I ruminate on that fact today. As I type these thoughts, my phone rings, it is my mother. She has been on my mind all day. I listen for a brief second. She is gripped by pain and grief-stricken; I hear her tears and her muddled words. She tells me her brother has just passed. They were very close. I want to put my arms around her but, she is 3000 miles away.

You do not choose when you are born or when you die, or do you? When I visited Seattle this summer, I spoke with my Uncle. He had had numerous health challenges—but seemed to be handling them in stride and his attitude with me was positive. One comment, however, even today, sticks in my mind. He said, “I told Doc Smith, that it was my quality of life that had taken a turn” then he quietly chuckled—he wasn’t happy about his new regiment of chemo. . . I bit my lip and just listened.

So, here we are three months later and I wonder. It takes nine months for a soul to arrive by birth—is that the preparation time? Does it take approximately nine months for a soul to transition out of this realm and back into another dimension where I believe we exist as pure energy and light and is truly our home? And, because of our modern societies fear and lack of understanding about this transition process, do we miss what our loved ones are really trying to tell us? And, the call to go or the call to come, are they really one and the same? At what moment do we innately know and hear that call? Uncle Carl was 85. Are souls like leaves when they detach and are blown off the tree by the wind? Are we really more like the wind— influenced by some “magnetic indicator” with a set-point? Sometimes a gentle breeze takes our leaves, bark, flowers and branches, and other times, it is more gale like forces that moves with voracious appetite and intention, sometimes even creating hurricanes of tremendous pressure, force and destruction with great suddenness. Are we the wind?

Or are we really more like light and color? Beautiful and yet undefinable by our consciousness? Are we like individual LED lights that light up the universe or like lightening bugs on a warm summer eve?
The enigma between life and more life?  Seen and unseen? What awaits on the other side of this veil? Our bodies attached to our soul and to our physicality; the inner and outer, earth and heaven, time and space to which we are tethered for a moment?

Most leaves fall in the autumn, but some like the live oak and madrona release their leaves all year? Is there a magnetic message tied and programed to our DNA that sends a message and our call to leave? Is it the same one that calls the birds to fly south and the whales to migrate thousands of miles away and animals to have innate knowledge of their own world?  Is it the same ‘voice’ calling to us one by one? Does our soul get this call and pull and lift off one evening propelled by those same cosmic forces? What moves the world outside, moves within me too?

I know we are not simply biology, and we carry within a piece of this sacredness, divinity—a piece of God, and therefore could the instructions be carried in a magnetic portion of our DNA which is hidden and unknown to us? Does this also include our passage into and out of this world? Is it programed with our life lessons—our growth—our healing—and some gift we give to another by our passing. In this case, my Mother. Her heart has opened wide, and just like many events in our lives, we are forever changed—also now programed within our DNA.

I bought a card earlier this week—It said, “When you are born, you are crying while everyone else it smiling. And, when you die, you are smiling while everyone else is crying.” If I have to make up anything, Uncle Carl is smiling—looking down on us all—and I hear him utter these words—“you are so right”. God Bless, you are dearly loved.

Vitamin G: A Powerful Way to Start Everyday!

Gratitude-is-the-hearts-memory-a-French-proverb1Gratitude, another key to happiness and well-being. We all know this innately, but sometimes it’s like forgetting to put our napkin in our lap or turning off the light before we exit a room.
Gratitude is more than an intellectual exercise of just giving thanks or uttering the platitude, “I feel blessed today”. Not of course that those things aren’t true, but it is the ability to really feel this emotion.  When we drop into our heart we activate a consciousness and create a new reality ; this is where the magic happens!

I remember saying grace every evening at the dinner table growing up.  It was the prerequisite to beginning the family meal, and looking back, it felt more like sitting at a red light, waiting for the signal to turn green–and permission to GO. This morning, when I look around at all the hardship and  daily struggle, my gratitude extends to many things in my life; I note my beautiful home, my purposeful career, my friends–and family. My boys are good,  my health excellent–and my parents still alive in their 80’s.  And, although I am no longer 30, I have more life lessons under my belt.   I have more experience, wisdom and insight that melds with who I have become today.  I look forward to whatever the future brings.

So, gratitude for me is about really feeling it in my heart. It’s yours to own as well when we are able to get out of our head. The heart, is 5000 times more powerful than our left-brain intellect. The hearts mystery contains the powerful feminine-side of our emotions, feelings and love. It is the seed which is able to move mountains–that tiny seed when nurtured is able to grow through the toughest conditions.  It all begins with intention. Do we show love and have gratitude for our earth, the plants and animals–our forests and oceans and all the abundance contained therein?

I send the challenge out to you too: gratitude for 60 seconds today? And, if you are having a really “bad”day, can you think of just one thing–and then notice how you feel? What about one more? Better huh. On a good day these things are easy– but the power comes when we are challenged. So, what do you have gratitude for, and what does it feel like when we choose from our heart?  After all, recent studies indicate, about 40 percent of our own happiness is entirely within our control.  What if it was even higher than that?  100 percent?  Who knows?

A massage for our soul, certainly our mind, and also the place the seeds to health, and wellness are nurtured and grow.  And, by the way, gratitude and happiness include at wide range of health benefits for us including, less incidence of strokes.  We have better immunity against colds and flu.  We have less pain, lower cortisol levels, less stress and inflammation in our body. Like a beautiful garden, see what shows up in your life when the seeds of gratitude are planted! Better than any supplement. Happy is healthy. Have you had your energetic and transforming Vitamin G today?

Changes Deep Within Our Cells? You Decide!

Lightning_Bolt_by_UndeadSamurai01A meteorologist will profess thunder and lightning is simply the mixture of two fronts; warm and cool air colliding. Yet, is thunder and lightning a deeper message from Mother Nature and spirit? Is there a deeper meaning?  Does this effect our DNA in a quantum way? We are becoming very clear how vibration, sound and light therapy can be used in therapeutic ways. Could it be about cleansing and change? Does the earth respond to human consciousness and we to it? Do we respond to this intense energy at the level of our cells? Is energy the great equalizer–bringing things together, and taking them apart?  Could this intense energy be seen as the rector or tinker toy set in the universe? After all, trees, mountains, beaches–and cities may stand for centuries only to be changed in a single storm.

Way beyond our physical awareness of wind, clouds, lightening, thunder and pouring rain, is a storm–just a storm?  Are thunderstorms like dramatic performances? At at the conclusion we are forever altered? Some of us, I know, even taking our last breaths as the expressions we are, as our soul moves into another dimension and reality?

Most of us, just notice the rain. The downpour coming off the roof tops and splashing out of gutters, flooded streets and the speed of our wipers tracking across our windshields. We notice and acknowledge the intensity of the lightning. Often times, it has stopped me in my tracks as it shakes my home.  We may certainly call it  energy in its purest form. And if energy cannot be created or destroyed, what does it reshape? Listen to the thunder sometime–a cacophony of sounds.  But do we really understand its true meaning and purpose? Maybe someday we will! Thoughts to ponder.  But for me,  I will never look and listen at a thunderstorm with the same eyes and meaning again.
